Dr Om Prakash Tiwari

 Dr. O. P. Tiwari is presently working as Assistant Regional Director at Regional Centre Bhagalpur. He has joined IGNOU as ARD on 30.05.2011 at Regional Centre Madurai. He has been awarded B.Sc. (Hons) Chemistry, M.Sc. Chemistry with specialization in organic Chemistry and Ph. D. in medicinal Chemistry from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. He has also been awarded B.Ed. degree from VBS Purvanchal University, Jaunpur. He has qualified CSIR-UGC- NET-JRF in Dec-2002 & UP SLET July 2002. Presently, he is pursuing MA in distance education (MADE) programme from IGNOU.

Before joining IGNOU in may 2011, he has served as Post Graduate Teacher in the subject Chemistry at senior secondary level (11th & 12th classes) in Govt. Inter College in Uttarakhand for approximately 05 (five) years.

After Joining IGNOU as an Assistant Regional Director, He has been performing various activities pertaining to the delivery of programmes such as Establishment of LSCs, Appointment of Coordinator/ Programme Incharges, Academic Counsellors and their renewal, Activation of new programmes, promotional activities, Publicity and Advertisement, Maintenance of Academic counsellors data base, pre admission counseling, Admission work. Monitoring of academic activities at LSCs, organizing meeting of coordinators and Programme In charges, organizing orientation programmes for part time functionaries at LSCs. Pre and Post admission queries, visit of Study Centres, Monitoring of counseling sessions and examination related activities.
