Appreciation Course on Environment (ACE) are conducted on every third wednesdays of March and September by the School of Sciences.
The Contact programme for learners of the July - September 2024 cycle of the Appreciation Course on Environment (ACE) is scheduled on 18th September 2024 from 11am to 2pm.
Details of the sessions are as follows:
ACE Web conference Session 1 - "Sikkim - Land of Orchids"
Time: 11am to 12 Noon
In this session, Prof. Jaswant Sokhi, Pro Vice Chancellor, Sikkim Professional University will talk about how Sikkim as a land of orchids and their various aspects.
ACE Web conference Session 2 - "Urban Land Use Land Cover"
Time: 12 Noon to 1pm
In this session, Dr. Bhavna Singh, Department of Environmental Studies, Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar College, Delhi University, New Delhi will introduce land use land cover, its importance, mapping and related aspects with focus on urban areas.
ACE Web conference Session 3 - “Sustainable Development Goals: India's National Action Plan on Climate Change and its Major Missions”
Time: 1pm to 2pm
In this session, Dr. Devender Mudgil, Department of Environmental Studies, Zakir Husain Delhi College, New Delhi will give an overview of the national plan on climate change and mission with perspective of SDGs.
