Popularization of the MAPFHS programme of SOEDS

SOEDS, IGNOU has recently launched a multi-disciplinary programme Master of Arts (Population and Family Health Studies) from January 2024 session. It will be useful for the medical, paramedical and other heath and family welfare related functionaries such as Anganwadi and ASHA workers and Block Extension Educators who would be not only interested to enhance their capacities but also to pursue a carrier in population and family health studies. It will be also useful to the learners working in the development sector, NGOs, corporate sector and the voluntary organizations and involved in the implementation of projects and activities related to population and health. Besides population and health and family welfare related issues this programme has also covered areas like Diaspora, developmental issues and challenges, urbanization and its issues and challenges, ecology and environment and women empowerment and other useful related courses. The learners can get employment opportunities in both government, corporate and NGO sector.
